The Canvas

Each Pleated Cutout Clutch begins with an authentic L.L.Bean Boat and Tote in pristine condition, washed and prepared by hand before construction begins. Because every piece is cut, pleated, and finished by hand, the pleating, stitching, and placement vary slightly from one to the next. That is part of what makes yours individual, adding a quality that cannot be manufactured.

A note on the photos: the piece shown here is lined in red. Yours will be finished with a natural twill lining to match the canvas.

Care & Maintenance

Spot clean with a damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to preserve the integrity of the canvas and hardware. The kisslock mechanism requires no special care but should be operated gently to maintain smooth function.
