A Collector Commission begins with an L.L.Bean Boat & Tote and ends as something entirely new - deconstructed and rebuilt by hand into a North & Knox original that exists only once.

Don't have a tote?

You don't need one. Send me your own keepsake, or let me source an authentic Boat & Tote for you. Tell me the colors you love and I'll find the right one.

How It Works

  1. Inquire. Fill out the form below. If you have a tote, include photos and its measurement. If you don't, just tell me what you're dreaming of.

  2. Design. I review every inquiry personally. When your build window opens, we confirm your design together, and a $200 deposit secures your spot. The deposit is non-refundable and applied to your final balance.

  3. Preview. You receive a custom mockup and a private listing showing your full price, deposit deducted. Nothing is touched until you've seen exactly what you're getting. Payment in full follows.

  4. Build and return. If you're sending a tote, your prepaid shipping label arrives once payment is complete. Your finished piece ships back via UPS Ground, fully insured, signature required, within 2 weeks of your design being finalized.

Sending your own tote? 

It must be a Large or larger, at least 20 inches across the top opening measured flat, fold to fold (see diagram). Not certain? Include your measurement with your inquiry and I'll confirm.

  • The Kisslock Tote Conversion — starting at $995

  • The Belted Tote Conversion — starting at $1095

  • Custom Design — starting at $1295

Final pricing is confirmed during our design conversation and depends on hardware, canvas condition, and design complexity.

Spot clean with a damp cloth and avoid prolonged moisture; open the Kisslock gently.

All commissions are final sale, and every piece is inspected on arrival and again before it leaves my hands.
