The Canvas
Each Kisslock Tote begins with an authentic L.L.Bean canvas tote in vintage or like-new condition, carefully washed and prepared before construction begins. The canvas is hand-washed and scrubbed until it reaches the right softness and character. Subtle variations in canvas, stitching, or texture are part of what makes each bag individual, adding a quality that cannot be manufactured.
